1 〔旧暦の〕 a two-hour period.

2 〔わずかな時間〕 a short time.

●ほんの一時の brief; fleeting; ephemeral

・ほんの一時の辛抱だよ. It just takes a little patience.

●われわれは一時の利便とひきかえに何か大切なものを失っているのかもしれない. Perhaps we are sacrificing something very important for a temporary advantage.

●一時も油断はならぬ. We must be constantly vigilant. | We must not lower our guard for a single instant.
